An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join an expanding manufacturing organisation based in Leek, Staffordshire. The company is currently upgrading its facilities with new machinery and site infrastructure.
You will operate within a high-speed production environment, managing a diverse range of breakdown repairs, planned maintenance and site optimisation projects. This position suits a multi skilled maintenance engineer with a career background in food production or manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities of this Maintenance Engineer role:
- Troubleshooting urgent electrical and mechanical faults to keep production lines running.
- Carrying out scheduled PPM tasks on production and packing lines.
- Overseeing core site services including compressed air, cooling and ventilation infrastructure.
- Assisting with the setup, testing and integration of new production machinery.
- Documenting all repairs and service history accurately within the CMMS.
- Undertaking continuous improvement to boost reliability and output.
- Strict adherence to food safety codes and sanitary production guidelines.
Requirements for this Maintenance Engineer role:
- Minimum Level 3 technical qualification in an engineering discipline (required).
- Background maintaining automated machinery within food production or manufacturing sectors.
- Excellent fault finding capabilities across both mechanical and electrical components.
- Basic understanding of PLC systems (preferred).
- Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety protocols, including Lockout-Tagout.
Benefits for this Maintenance Engineer role:
- Salary of £45,000 - £50,000 per annum, based on technical experience.
- 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
- Rotating double days (Early shift: 06:00–14:00 / Late shift: 14:00–22:00).
- Hands-on involvement with capital expenditure installations and system upgrades.
